FITTIPALDI X PINNINFARINA COLLAB

Motoring Exposure’s Ryan Konko calls the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo a “passion to fruition” project that boasts a “clean and graceful character” on the track. But do not be fooled – the EF7 Gran Turismo can just as quickly use its poise of a prima ballerina as it can its raw, unrestricted power of an Olvmpic powerlifter.

The Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo started out as just that – a vision. Highly respected and incredibly successful racing legend Emerson Fittipaldi showcased the desire to create the race-inspired vehicle after reminiscing on “what it truly feels like to be behind the steering wheel of a championship race car”. Fittipaldi’s very own design team, Fittipaldi Motors, sought to make the vision a reality, co-designed and engineered with the help of the famous Italian auto design company Pininfarina and German Engineering firm HWA AG. The end result was certainly a spectacle – an incredibly robust V-8 engine matched to a flawlessly integrated gearbox and HWA track-engineered braking and suspension components. From its side profile, it is clear that the EF7 Vision is as much of a visual masterpiece as it is a mechanical one-a long, low profile, perfectly proportioned, and affixed with functional track-tested aero components. Although his dream became a reality, Emerson Fittipaldi realizes that not everyone will be able to experience his vehicle as he has. As a result, Mr. Fittipaldi has decided to make it so that the public can experience the EF7 Vision Gran Turismo virtually in the PlayStation 4 video game, Gran Turismo Sport.
